What you really collect is always yourself

I found this picture on art exhibition, There are numbers of art collectors who came to hunt down the showed art, they are willing to bought the art with not mention any price. Some are logic thing and some are was  beyond our imagination, but is it true that an art actually has a wonderful price? What is actually the benchmark of the art work which determine the fair price of that art?. 

What is art?

According to dictionary art is "The expression or application of human skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing work to appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power".

It is obvious from the definition above that an art will be appreciated by their beauty or emotional power. The art has own meaning and own perception from someone's who seeing the art work, as an example "what will you describe on Monalisa smile painting?", I would bet that out of every 10 people who saw the painting would describe it differently.

So This is my thought!

Art is an outpouring of of the soul of the artist, the outpouring of the heart is also overflowing expression arising from the mood, atmosphere, even the environment where worked or where he lived. it can be about the artist love, a fact of life, joy, perspective and even thoughts as the selfish of the artist or the humanist side of the artist.

Art is a real life split in two part from what we see everyday that is aimed at commercial art, and art is indeed an expression of the artist regardless of what price will shown or counting the issued capital and the profit gained from the work of art. For an example commercial art is the art design that was intended for sale such as t-shirt design, fashion design, the design which used for advertising and others. Then the art which is intended only as an expression of the soul, a painting for an exact example, many painters who painted only as a venue for  expression for expression of the soul, outpouring of his heart without counting the cost incurred or the possibility of how much profit he will get.

The art which came from heart, a form of emotion which became the standard price or a value of the artwork, an emotion where the painter gave all dedication to the creation of works of heart, it is not uncommon works of abstract painters who at first glance might be just a scratch with no name but the price can be so high and the collectors was hunt it because of the "true art of an expression".

From other source art is define as "The use of skill and imagination in the creation of aesthetic objects, environment or experiences that can be shared with others". What kind of share? by seeing in the gallery? by buying the artwork or just copy from internet? or else? you decide which one is true art and make a value of it.
